A rainy day can still belong to your hobbies.

Keep the purpose

Decide what you wanted from the outing: company, a practical task, a change of scene, or time to learn. That purpose may fit a different activity. A visit to a farm shop or an hour with a growing plan can preserve the day without forcing an unsuitable outdoor session.

Choose a task with an ending

A single tackle tray, one shelf of gardening supplies, or a short route note makes a manageable indoor project. Finish one clearly defined job before opening another. An afternoon can feel well spent without becoming a full reorganisation of everything you own.

Save a better next visit

Write down the outing you postponed and what conditions it needs. Check current local information when you return to it. A flexible weekend is easier to enjoy when a change of plan feels like another option, rather than a failure to complete the first idea.
